Jim Varghese AM, Chancellor
Jim Varghese AM became Chancellor of Torrens University Australia in January 2022. He is the National Chair and Director of the Australia India Business Council Ltd and the Chairman of the Leadership Company Qld Pty Ltd. Before 2008, Jim completed an outstanding 30-year career in the public sector that included experience as a Chief Executive in leading government agencies covering Transport, Main Roads, Education, Training, Employment and Primary Industries in both the Victorian and Queensland public sector.

Linda Brown
Linda is President, Torrens University Australia; CEO, Think Education. Before joining Torrens in 2014, Linda was Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director TAFE at Swinburne University, Melbourne. Before Swinburne, Linda held the position of Director of Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE in Brisbane and was a senior Queensland Government executive with the Department of Education, Training and the Arts. She also has global business and educational experience, including Corporate CEO, Futures Stockbroker, Managing Director Dartington Tech UK, and Director of Stoke-on-Trent FE College.

Karl McDonnell
Karl McDonnell is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Education, Inc. Karl initially joined the Company in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer. He joined the Company’s Board of Directors in 2011 and in 2013 was named President and Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of InteliStaf Healthcare, Inc., one of the nation’s largest privately held healthcare staffing firms. He also served as Vice President of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Karl has held senior management positions with several Fortune 100 companies, including The Walt Disney Co.
