Vancouver's School of Visual Effects, Animation and Game Design

Established in 2005, Think Tank Training Centre was born out of a passion for sharing industry knowledge with the next generation of CG professionals. Think Tank’s all-star team of instructors have worked on projects such as Deadpool, Jurassic World, and Beauty and the Beast. The school is a state-of-the-art facility; using the latest software and technology to support the needs of the television, film, and video game industries. Student workstations are equipped with the latest high-spec hardware and are nestled in an artfully renovated heritage building.

Asset creation On-campus

Think Tank only offers one program designed to evolve and cater to any budding artist’s needs and direction. Because of the size and positioning of TTTC in the Vancouver Computer Graphics Scene, they are agile and able to provide students with the resources and opportunities they require to accomplish their goals. Even if only one student is in need of a certain software package, or specialized instructor, they have the ability to satisfy their needs.

asset creation Online

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Think Tank’s mentorship is designed to help artists that have previous training and/or experience brush up on their skills and produce a viable demo reel. Each student is assigned a personal, state-of-the-art workstation. During your time on campus, you will have access to 4-months of guidance from an industry professional to create and polish your demo reel.

His career has spanned across video games, film, television and commercials, on titles such as “Need for Speed Payback”, “Warhammer Eternal Crusade” and “Magic the Gathering”. Currently Art Director & 3D Art Lead at Hellbent Games.
Alvaro Claver
He is currently working at Sony Pictures Imageworks. He is known for the following projects: Spiderman: No Way Home, Black Widow, Morbius, Avengers Endgame, Captain Marvel, Avengers Infinity War, Thor Ragnarok, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, A Wrinkle in Time, Wandavision (Netflix), Lost in Space (Netflix), Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (Netflix); on the following game cinematics: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Destiny 2: Forsaken, Star Wars: Rise to Power, Command & Conquer Rivals.
Aleksandra Sienkiewicz
She is currently a Compositing Supervisor at Method Studios. Her credits include: Avengers: Age of Ultron, San Andreas, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Maze Runner, Thor: The Dark World, Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War,
Casey McDermott
He is currently a Senior Cinematic Animator at Blizzard Animation.
Marco Menco
He is currently a Facial Modeling Lead at Digital Domain. His credits include: District 9, Logan, The Hobbit, Alice through the Looking Glass, Night at the Museum and Star Trek Beyond.
