Each student is assigned a personal, state-of-the-art workstation. During your time on campus, you will have access to 4-months of guidance from an industry professional to create and polish your demo reel.

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Susan C. Fecho

Dean of the School of Visual Performing and Communication Arts – Over 30 years of teaching and working with art students in the United States and abroad. Fecho is a multi-media printmaker/surface designer with an earned M.F.A. from East Carolina University. In addition, she has pursued postgraduate studies at various institutions, including Jan Van Eyck Academie, Humboldt Field Research Institute, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Northern Illinois University, and Penland School of Crafts.

Miguel Elizalde

Assistant Professor of Communications – A Spanish artist and educator interested in the role of body sensations that are embedded in the perceptual process. His background is in advertising, with more than 50 international awards and recognitions for his work in communication campaigns over the years.

Dorothy Austin-Harrell

Assistant Professor of Theatre – an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Head of Costumes and Props with dual B.F.A in Theatre Arts from East Carolina University, with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Design and Production.

Barton-MenGerard-Lange
Gerard Lange

Professor of Art – Gerard Lange currently serves as the Director of the Whitehurst Family Honors Program and as a professor in the School of Visual, Performing, and Communication Arts. His research focuses on student completion linked to retention and satisfaction.
