The mission of ACA’s Degree Program is to serve, inspire, support and embolden our creative artists via sector-specific training so that they can enter the performing arts workplace and professionally collaborate and contribute – above industry standard – and at the highest level.
The Bachelor of Performing Arts (Stage and Screen) degree program is designed and created by Actors Centre Australia, which is accredited by Torrens University Australia and delivered in partnership.
Asset creation On-campus
Think Tank’s mentorship is designed to help artists that have previous training and/or experience brush up on their skills and produce a viable demo reel. Each student is assigned a personal, state-of-the-art workstation. During your time on campus, you will have access to 4-months of guidance from an industry professional to create and polish your demo reel.

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Troy Harrison
Troy has worked on stage and screen as a professional with over twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry. Troy is the co-founder and artistic director of the award-winning independent theatre company Workhorse Theatre Company.

Pip Edwards
Pip has taught extensively throughout Australia, at schools such as Actors Centre, NIDA, SAS, Sydney Film School, HUB Studio, Stagemilk, Screenwise, and for MEAA to name a few.

Kate Sherman
Kate Sherman is a multi-disciplinary performer, performance maker, choreographer, movement researcher, and educator.

Adam Cook
Having graduated from NIDA, Adam has directed over 140 shows in Australia, London, Canada, and the United States. He was the Artistic Director of the State Theatre Company of South Australia from 2005-2012 and is currently Head of Acting at Actors Centre Australia.

How to apply to this college?
– Completed Application Form
– Submit your 2 audition pieces; Live auditions are conducted in Sydney (Shakespeare & contemporary– Each choice should be no more than two and a half minutes and reflect the kind of roles you see yourself being cast.)
– Payment upon application submission

– Send or upload a filmed self-test audition which includes:
*An introduction to yourself including your name, age, and where you’re from (30-sec max).
*Why do you believe this program is suited for you (45-sec max)?
*A very brief introduction to your chosen piece i.e. character name, the title of the play, and the author.
Note: Your audition pieces can be either dramatic or comic and a Shakespearean monologue or a modern/contemporary theatre monologue. Each piece should be two and a half minutes at most and involve roles in which you could conceivably be cast. Quality of footage simply needs clear vocals, sufficient light, and to be shot on an iPhone or Android.
